Our Pastor, William "B.J." Gorrell is a native of Grand Island, New York (located between Buffalo and Niagara Falls). He came to Christ at the age of twenty, through the ministry of the local Bible Presbyterian Church.

BJ attended Clearwater Christian College in 1984, where he met his wife, Nancy Forrest, of Powell, TN. He graduated with a BA in Bible in 1987, and married that summer.

The following year, he enrolled with the newly-founded Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in South Carolina - a school begun largely by PCA men and teachers. After receiving the Master of Divinity degree, BJ was called to serve as pastor of Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Schenectady, NY, and was ordained in November of 1992.

The Lord blessed the ministry and the Gorrell family, as three children were born: Lydia, Austin, and Joshua.

In early 2001, BJ began serving as a church-planter in Cookeville, Tennessee. In the summer of 2003, he was asked to candidate at our church, and was subsequently called.

Pastor, Nancy, and the children arrived in late October of the same year, and he was installed on December 7th. He is expected to pastor here at least until 2026.
